Yeah, so when you don't see me for a few days, it can only mean bad news. If something traumatic/dramatic is going on, know I'll stop by and tell y'all so you don't worry. But if I just go away, that means I am in denial and avoiding.
That's where I am today.
And I have nothing really to say for myself. I have laid on the couch while Nathan goes to the gym. I have had an increased number of Starbucks drinks. I have eaten bowls of cereal as late-night snacks.
And I just can't figure out how to get my life back together.

I've been in those shoes so many times and let me tell you, the quicker you can pick yourself up from this the less you'll beat yourself up over it later.
Take some time and soul search and reflect. Read an inspirational book, go for a walk, spend some time getting back to that place where you want to make YOU the priority again.
I quit caring my way up to 425 pounds, please learn from my mistakes. You are so worthy of good health.
We have ALL been in your shoes. Every single one of us. Just don't let your few days turn into weeks and you'll be just fine. I'm just trying to get back on the darn wagon, myself. I just haven't made up my mind to. It's all in my attitude on whether or not I succeed. I'm the only one who keeps me from success. You've done great so far...you've hit a little bump in the road, back up and drive right around that sucker! :-) Keep on Keepin' On!!!

Yes, it happens to us all so don't beat yourself up too bad. I know when I get off track it's hard to get right back to where I left off with the snap of my fingers. I usually try to break it into baby steps. Put one little small step after another and then you are back in business. Your life kinda got shaken and stirred with the trip out of town, new job and being sick...life just happens. Take a short workout at the gym, make yourself a nice healthy dinner, get plently of rest and get refocused a little bit at a time. You will get back there!!
You, my dear friend, are stuck in a rut. That business trip messed up your routine and now you're charged with the difficult task of getting back to your routine, which is SOOO much harder than it sounds. But you'll snap out of it. My unsolicited advice is to start small -- eat some carrots instead of cereal or tell Nate to drag you to the gym kicking and screaming -- and you'll be back to your old new self in no time. And cut yourself some slack - there are a lot of changes going on in your life right now. You're not super woman.
I completely understand and feel your pain. You haven't heard me talking about my weight loss much lately either. You're just in a rut.
You started this year out rocking! You were on a roll!! A break in the routine screwed you up a little but you will rally!! You mentioned one of your goals was to start running on March 1st . . . I recently started the Couch to 5K - you can download free podcasts tailored to that very program. Check it out and start fresh tomorrow!

I agree, your routine is just off (due to out-of-town work).
Also, you came back with the flu. Once you begin to feel normal again, your appetite comes back . . . stronger and it craves food.
But only you can decide when you are ready to start back.
