my hero zero

226.8 - 226.8 = zero. What?

Well, this week I stayed the same. (And my toenails are seriously chipped, thus the socks.)

Breakdown of the week that was:

Average daily calories: 1513

Exercise: 5 days for 6 hours and 40 minutes total

I am not happy, but I am not frustrated. I'm just not cutting any more corners. No more Panera. No more being lazy. Just hard freaking work.

The next two weeks I'll be weighing on Sundays, due to being out of town during the week for new job. And then I'll be in Atlanta (far from my native Kentucky) from 2/10 - 2/20, so I don't know what my posting will be like in that time.

Happy Monday! Good luck on the scale!

Ah well, you knew that you'd pushed the boundaries a little, so all in all not the worst result. But when one has worked that hard, somehow the treats don't seem so worthwhile anymore. Something I have to keep in mind...

I wish I could do scale pictures like that, but my stomach's in the way!!! Another case of "watch this space".

You mentioned PMS was kicking in in your last post - hence the probable reason you didn't lose this week. You're doing GREAT with your exercise and it will pay off!

(I love Panera's too ....my daugter andI went there Saturday!)

Soldier on my girl, if you keep up the great work, that scale will move down. Next week is yours.

Maintaining is always good too, don't worry!!

As for the kitties I'll look forward to seeing your pictures, although they aren't my cats they're my boyfriends' ;) I don't claim them because they drive me nuts!! My black kitty is the only one I claim as mine :) Tee hee

Maintaining instead of gaining (especially when PMS'ing) is pretty good.

I love Panera's coffee - not the fancy stuff, but I do add a little cream as a decadent treat.

I'm going to have to try that quiche recipe.

Good luck next week training for your new job.

Like you said, this is a lifestyle change and that means that we can't give up everything all the time. You had a couple of treats, you enjoyed them, just move on. Hey, you may have stayed the same because you exercised so much! Just think, it could be muscle weight! Woo-hoo!

Keep it going. You're doing great. And this is coming from someone who has been on a plateau for two months!

Awesome exercise week. Don't expect to see weight loss every week. You are doing great.Keep it up!

Keep pushing on...I think you did fabulously considering. Like the ladies said--maintaining during PMS is a victory!

It's cliche, of course, but it's also true: you are working out so much and are therefore building a lot of muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. That coupled with PMS is the obvious culprit. Don't be discouraged, you are doing GREAT! And we're all behind you.

You managed to stay the same, and you didn't freak out when PMS hit! I would say that is a win no matter what the scale says.

I generally pack on 3lbs at that time even if I don't freak out and eat everything sweet in a one mile radius. I would actually have to sever a limb to see the scale go down for that week.

You're being so consistent with your exercise and diet, and you no matter what the scale says today, it will pay off in the long run. Just don't get too frustrated today.

We are going to rock the scale next week!

I've been so busy lately - I'm sorry I ain't been around! First - congratulations on your new job! I'm so glad you followed your gut - you were right! I think your party plate looked beautiful and so did the sangria. I agree with everyone that PMS will make you a little bloaty. Also, remember that you've been working really really hard and your body is protecting you against withering away so that you'll have energy to continue exercising. You're going to reach your goals, I know you will! Have another fabulous week!

Sigh... damn the scales. I think if you know you will still work hard without looking at the scales, then go for it. I know I get permissive when I don't have the constant feedback from the damn thing.

Everything you said to me (haha.. just now) applies to you too! You are doing so so so great at the gym! I have to believe the weight will follow the hard work... (it has to, right?)

Have you started taking body measurements? Maybe that might be more satisfying than the scale (at least for now)... mine seem to only budge once in a blue moon, but it is exciting even when you see a quarter inch lost...

Keep at it! I am so proud of you!

And Good luck with the new job!!

Zero's not so bad, though none of us likes to see it. Looks like you did some really good things for yourself, and that counts for a lot!

Good luck with your new job...and safe travels!

Hey it's okay! Keep moving and keep going. Yep, Lora's right. The body is sneaky and goes through it's own cycles of fluid retention. How do you feel after those workouts? Is your energy level on the up and up? You're doing great. The scale will move in time.
