i don't need an excuse

So this is my morning. 229.2 - 226.8 shows a 2.4 pound loss for the week. Again, trying to be happy about it.

I averaged 1512 calories daily. I exercised 6 days for a total of 9 hours and 10 minutes. And I lost 2.4.

I also have a horrendous headache. I had actually planned an insightful post based on this week's sermon, but instead I'm going to put my effort into talking Nathan into making a trip to Starbucks for me. The post will come later. I promise.

How'd all your weigh-ins go?

"Again, trying to be happy about it." OK did I miss read your post? I could have sworn it said a 2.4lb LOSS? and yet you are "trying" to be happy about it? Girlfriend, that is TOTALLY something to be HAPPY about!! THAT IS WONDERFUL!!! Keep up the great work. And pick that chin up so you don't trip over it! You are doing GREAT!

Congrats on your loss, Krissie! That really is great!

My weigh-in wasn't so great. My scale is possessed and it showed that I had gained a few pounds all three times I weighed myself! That CANNOT be possible... because I was totally "on plan" last week. So I'm counting it as 0 pounds lost, 0 pounds gained. It's an official maintenance for me. I just refuse to believe that I gained... because I KNOW I didn't.

I think 2.4 lbs is fabulous! You did so well the other night too, that you wrote about in the last post. That is so great and you are a wonderful example!

Girl, I am SO proud of you! 2.4 lbs is a HUGE loss. You are totally rocking the program. You are going to the gym and enjoying it. You are eating wisely. You are doing great.

I hope your head feels better soon.

Congrats! 1-2lb/week is IDEAL. Anything more and it's probably water weight and will come right back on as quickly as it came off.

It's easy to get frustrated when the scale doesn't move down "fast enough"...but, honestly, 2.4lb shows A LOT of effort on your part! And you're creating a lifestyle which is about soooo much more than a number. Good job! :)

Trying to be happy about it?!!??!!

You've lost about 12 pounds in three weeks!! That's awesome! That's more
than awesome!

Congratulations!

Congrats on the loss! And think of it this way -- if you lose 2.4 lbs a week that's nearly 10 lbs a month! That's terrific!

I'm proud of you, I'm sure Nathan's proud of you (did you manage to get him to make a starbucks run?) and I think, when your headache subsides and you have a few minutes to think about it -- you'll be proud of you too. :)

Everyone here is right. 2.4lbs is awesome and even if you're not *thrilled* by the number, you continue to be an inspiration to us all. Remember... the number on the scale is only *part* of the picture. :) (Note, I'm well aware of the pot calling the kettle business here). Seriously, buck up camper... you rock!

Cheers.

I'm with Felicia. Why are you "trying" to be happy about a 2.4 lb loss?? That's awesome! Congrats!

That is a great loss! So listen to us when we tell you that! What kind of loss were you hoping for that this is disappointing? You're also building muscle at the gym, yes?

2.4 is AWESOME!! You should be proud! A loss is a loss!

As everyone else has said, 2.4 is a great loss! Don't put so much emphasis on the scale...look at all of the great exercise and food choices you're making! You're doing great!!

I agree with everyone else--2.4 pounds in one week is awesome!! Some of us struggle to lose one pound a week. Remember, the slower it comes off, the longer it will stay off. That means you are losing fat and not lean muscle. You are doing awesome!

Congrats on the great loss! We don't always get the big numbers of our dreams, but this *is* something to be happy about. Ecstatic, even. :)

Wow. I'd be lovin' that weight loss!

Think I need to follow your lead and work on my sleep too. Tonight it was 3 hours and I've been wide awake since, even after trying meditation and insomnia music. Oh well.....guess I'll take a nap later today!

Keep up the great work.
